CULLB602C Task 3 : Blogs, Technorati and IGoogle

The task was to set up this blog and find a blog in Technorati on Libraries.
Then post a comment on the blog and post blog link to webCT catagory and URL of blog to 'other useful web links'.

I found an intersting Blog By Richard Urban, who is studying a Doctorate in Library and Museum studies. Richard has some very specific ideas on the relationships between new technologies and institutions dealing with conservation and preservation ie; libraries and museums.

Urban, Richard.MSLIS.2005, Travels into Several Remote Digital Realms of the world: Part 1: A Voyage to Libraryland, viewed 27th Feb 2012, www.libland.blogspot.com

Richard Urban, a Doctoral student and Master of Library and Information Science, in Illinois, U.S.A. The blog is used as a journal describing Richard's studies, including problems found and overcome during his time developing systems for the digitization of collections for numerous museums. Richard shares his views on many forms of information technology including; Flickr, del.icio.us and Wiki. Richard appears open minded about the problem solving issues and readily accepts advice. Richard quotes and cites relevant works. The blog is aimed at his peers and those in the field of library and museum collections management, covering technical data, and therefore would be suitable for the academic or professional.

The blog you quote sounds interesting. It would be useful to post the link here in your comment and also remember to do a critical evaluation of the site.
